The Israelites ate the manna that sustained them during their sojourn in the wilderness. This was called 'spiritual food' by the apostle Paul and relates to us feeding on Jesus Christ who is the Bread of life. But they also ate other food in the wilderness too such as the quail. What does the quail represent? Can it be called spiritual food as well? Am I feeding on the Manna from heaven? Or have I started preferring quail instead?
