Jesus said if you don't understand this parable you probably won't understand any of the parables (Mk.4:3). That makes it pretty important for us to get to grips with it. John the Baptist said, "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire," Matt.3:10. The question we need to be answering is what type of soil is in our hearts and will it produce a harvest of fruit in our lives?
