This is a series of sermons I did to Christian leaders in Johannesburg, South Africa in October 2011. The aim of the conference was to identify exactly what God expected of leaders in His church and to challenge each one present to reach this high standard in their lives and ministries.
The commandments of God state we are to love Him with all our heart and love our neighbour as ourselves. Most people tend to assume they are keeping these laws. But if we discover how the apostles meant us to keep them we will see a whole different standard of Christian living to what we often know and see today.
We all know we're saved by faith but how important is it to maintain a good conscience as well? What happens when our conscience is defiled? Can we still be in faith at the same time? Can we lose our salvation by having a defiled conscience?
Most people completely miss the meaning of this parable as they don't realise what the talents actually represent. Do they actually represent natural talents and abilities? Why then would the one with the least have what little he has taken away and then thrown into outer darkness at the coming of Jesus?
The Word of Wisdom is a powerful spiritual gift but most people have no idea what it really is. Once you do know, your whole Christian life will benefit from this precious gift of the Spirit.
