This is a series of sermons I did to Christian leaders in Johannesburg, South Africa in October 2011. The aim of the conference was to identify exactly what God expected of leaders in His church and to challenge each one present to reach this high standard in their lives and ministries.
A look at what our God expects of His leaders in the church, how they are to behave and what they have been commissioned to do. If you're a leader in the household of God and ever wondered how or whether Jesus will judge you at His judgement seat, this is for you. Based on the parable of the Wise and Evil Slaves put over the Master's house in Matt.24 verses 45 to 51.
The Israelites ate the manna that sustained them during their sojourn in the wilderness. This was called 'spiritual food' by the apostle Paul and relates to us feeding on Jesus Christ who is the Bread of life. But they also ate other food in the wilderness too such as the quail. What does the quail represent? Can it be called spiritual food as well? Am I feeding on the Manna from heaven? Or have I started preferring quail instead?
A fascinating look at the spiritual meaning behind Moses striking the rock at Horeb and what it means for us today. An exhortation to walk by faith and not by dead works.
Too many people assume the foolish virgins are those bad people in the world who get locked out of the Kingdom once Jesus returns, but is this what Jesus was talking about in this parable? Who are the virgins, what are the lamps, and what is the oil that allows light to shine in the darkness?
A look at the spiritual significance behind the events of the Transfiguration of Jesus. A revelation of the Kingdom of God and how it will appear at Christ's coming.
"Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written down for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come," I Corinthians 10:11
